A personal commissioned collage portrait brings life to a persons
photographic history, each piece with its own narrative; telling the story of the
person behind the image.
Old documents, photos plus painting and drawing combined in a creative
design to capture your loved one human or animal.....a a unique memory
painting to have forever.
For wedding paintings: include save the dates, invitations, ribbon, flowers,
songs, words, flat items, anything to tell your story, maps, photos, ect.
I will work with you on the design and colors to ensure it is a treasure.
Have wedding guest write "words of wisdom" on small slips of paper that
can be added to painting!
How to get started:
Select your photos.....
Old photos or recent images.
If you have several images please submit them, some will work better than
others.
Images submitted can be in print or digital formats. All originals will be
returned unharmed when commission is completed.
Please submit copies of any other items you would like included for the
background. Black and white or color. Do not send originals or one of a kind
items that you want returned. I will only return original photos.
You may choose to include a childhood drawing, a favored poem, military
papers, wedding certificates, maps of cities, a report card, hand or foot print,
birth certificate, achievement award, a prayer, or a special sentiment written
specially for this commission.
A swatch of fabric from an item such as a baby quilt, blanket or wedding dress
can also be incorporated.
Also send a history or biography of the subject in email.
Let me know nick names, jokes, cities, any info that I can use to make the
painting more unique to the person or pet. Favorite pastimes, hobbies, foods...
Any information you can provide will be helpful in making the piece more
personal.
